This Privacy Policy describes how PixGen AI Photo Editor (“PixGen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application and related website (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use PixGen, we may process:
- Photos you choose to edit. Images you select or capture in the app to run AI or local editing tools.
- Prompts and style choices. Text instructions or presets you provide for AI edits.
- Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, and approximate diagnostics needed to keep the Service working.
- Support communications. Information you send when you email us at info@pixgen.ai.
We do not require you to create an account to use core editing features. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal categories beyond what is needed to provide the features you request.
2. How we use information
- To process your photo edits (including AI enhance, restore, retouch, erase, background tools, portraits, and filters).
- To improve reliability, performance, and safety of the Service.
- To respond to support requests and enforce our Terms.
- To comply with applicable law and protect against abuse or fraud.
3. AI processing and third-party providers
When you run an AI tool, your selected image and related instructions may be transmitted securely to our backend proxy and to third-party AI processing providers solely to complete the requested edit. Those providers process content on our behalf to return a result image. We do not sell your photos.
Local tools (such as brightness, contrast, and saturation adjustments) are processed on your device and are not uploaded for AI processing.
4. Retention
Photos and prompts used for AI jobs are retained only as long as needed to fulfill your request, operate the Service, troubleshoot issues, and meet legal obligations. Generated results you save on your device remain under your control. You can delete local history or saved files using your device tools.
5. Sharing
We may share information only with:
- Service providers that help us host, process AI jobs, analyze crashes, or deliver the Service.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- A successor entity if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to this policy’s spirit.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Permissions
The app may request access to your photo library or camera so you can pick or capture images to edit, and storage access so you can save results. You can revoke permissions in system settings; some features may then be unavailable.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please avoid uploading images you are not authorized to process.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact info@pixgen.ai and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International users
If you use the Service from outside the country where our infrastructure or providers operate, your information may be processed in other jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws.
10. Your choices
- Limit what you upload — only select photos you want to edit.
- Use on-device adjust tools when you prefer not to send an image to AI providers.
- Contact us to ask questions about this policy or request deletion of support correspondence where applicable.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
